I learned also on a Manual transmission. Three speed on the column. Two were old Chevy vans.

We are very close, my 2 learning vehicles were both 3 on the tree... a 66 Mercury Comet and a 72 F150. My Dad said, "if you can manage 3 on the tree, everything thing else will be easy."
