Does anyone have a spot-on load recipe for the .35 Whelen? I’m loading it up for my CVA Optima Elite and I could really use a solid shortcut. Thanks a bunch!

One load that's really impressed us is the 200gr Hornady SP with 59.5 grains of IMR 4064. It's not pushed to the max, but it's got this accuracy, a super smooth feel, and it really packs a punch. We seat it at about 2.800" and it cycles like a dream. That combo gave us some seriously tight groups at 100yds, and it took down a big hog cleanly last season.

I’d love to hand you a perfect shortcut, but honestly, the .35 Whelen is one of those cartridges where each rifle has its own quirks, particularly with a break-action like your CVA. What shot well in my rifle didn’t always act the same in someone else's.
