No question that I shoot better with a dot than with pistol irons too, especially those very small guns with their short sight radius.

I tried dot sights (Holosun & Romeo) on my P365x and found them to be more precise but not as fast for me. For that reason, I have a dot on my suppressed MK IV pistol for small game and plinking, but use irons on my carry guns. At defensive distances, I'll take speed over precision.

I use foam blocks so the gun fits my hand so I don't have to look for the dot. If it's not a 1911 or CZ75 it needs adapting to my hand.
