What 30 days of daily dry fire did to my shooting

I documented the results from Day 1 to Day 30, I measured draw speed, grip consistency and first-shot break quality andvery metric improved. The draw improved the most about 35%. The real surprise was that range performance improved faster the following month than any previous month. Daily practice with no ammo cost beats occasional range visits every time.

Last winter, I did 10 days of dry fire. My draw speed jumped, shot groups shrank and I spent zero on ammo. It is the best training investment I’ve made by far.

In January, I tried the same challenge again. My draw to first shot dropped from 1.8 to 1.2 seconds but more importantly, my consistency got better and there was no more wild shots early in the mag. Dry fire work is boring but that’s where the real progress happens.
