Many see solvent traps etc as only an invitation for an ATF raid. There are plenty of perfectly legal applications for them.
The easiest is as a barrel shroud. Reversed over the barrel of a rifle they provide that cool suppressed look to firearms with excessive barrels sticking out.
Second is as a barrel extension. Pinned and welded they can easily bring a barrel up to 16" and even act as a linear compensator.
Linear Compensator. With the cap radially drilled and either welded or riveted together they make great linear comps.
Spacers. Don't forget the stack of convenient spacers they come with. I've used them for dozens of projects from motorcycles to my loading bench.
